CHANGES, CHANGE
Changes, change is an abstract mural whose shape, size, geometric patterns, and colours change in reaction to rainfall, to reflect the capricious and mercurial nature of Galway’s weather. The direction, intensity and amount of rainfall determine which mural is visible.
Shane O’Malley is an Irish artist who has emerged from Ireland’s vibrant graffiti subculture. He works in the medium of paint and creates large mural art.
Originally from Navan, Shane now resides in Galway city. He is interested in the themes of identity, mental and emotional health, journey and self-hood. He has developed a unique visual language using bold colour and simple geometric patterns.
