Description
Donatella Barbieri, award-winning costume designer, academic and author leads a two-day drawing workshop for professional artists and designers as part of the Weatherproof Me! exploration of the interface between the body and weather. The workshop explores states of human experience through movement of human and non-human matter, in a reciprocal relationship through which the capacity for invention of one’s own responsive body in movement is the focus as much as the materials that moves it.
Winner of the 2019 Prague Quadrennial Best Performance Design & Scenography Publication Award and finalist for the Theatre Research Society Book Prize, Donatella Barbieri lectures in London College of Fashion: University of the Arts London. She is the founding editor of Studies in Costume and Performance and her theatre designs and academic research have been presented internationally.
